Tears I Cry

There's more to me than meets the eye,
There's a reason for the tears I cry.
I'm sick of feeling so empty and alone.
Especially when facing the unknown.
Not long ago I could call you mine,
Back in the day when things were fine.
But somehow things started to change,
Something between us got rearranged.
You no longer wanted to be with me,
I'm surprised it wasn't something I'd foreseen.
I should've known you still loved her,
You miss those days & everything you were.
But I don't think you really see,
The heart to which you hold the key.
Just the heart of a simple girl,
Who is waiting for a love to unfurl,
Not looking for a one night stand,
Just looking for her always man.
My heart breaks in my chest,
Always being denied its one request.
I really am just a simple one,
A story that has just begun,
But is already full of tears and pain,
And yet still loving with all that remains.
It doesn't matter if you break my heart,
I won't let it tear me apart.
